Concawe Resignation

Concawe resignation from CEC.

Concawe recognises the importance of the role that CEC plays in the development of fuels and lubricants for the European transport industry. In light of the energy transition and the need to update priorities, Concawe has taken the decision to resign its membership.

At the June 2024 meeting, Concawe advised the CEC Management Board of their resignation from CEC as a member organisation. Their membership will cease at end December 2024.

We again recognise and thank Concawe members and their representatives in the CEC Management Board for their contributions to CEC over the 10+ years of membership.

Fuels testing within CEC will continue to be supported and Concawe members will continue to be active in CEC working groups where they feel it is appropriate for their organisation. No impact is anticipated for the working groups since membership is a decision of individual companies and is not directly connected to decisions made by their association(s).

The Management Board is currently looking into assigning representative(s) from the CEC Management Board to the CEC Fuels Test Groups.
